Dave Donatelli

Dave Donatelli was appointed CEO of Riverbed Technology in July 2023. Donatelli brings to Riverbed deep knowledge and extensive leadership experience driving growth at scaled technology businesses, including Oracle, Hewlett-Packard, and EMC.

Donatelli previously served as Executive Vice President of the Cloud Business Group at Oracle Corporation. Earlier, he served as Executive Vice President of the Enterprise Group at Hewlett-Packard leading the $30 billion division and overseeing storage, server, networking, and converged infrastructure solutions. Donatelli began his career at EMC Corporation, serving in multiple leadership roles, including President of the EMC Storage Division. He most recently served as the lead independent director at MarkLogic, a leading data management and data integration solutions provider and Vector Capital portfolio company.

Donatelli holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from Boston College, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Shaun Bierweiler

Shaun Bierweiler is the Chief Revenue Officer at Riverbed Technology where he leads the company’s Worldwide Sales, Channels and Alliances, Professional Services, Sales Operations and Customer Experience teams. In this role, he is responsible for driving operational excellence across all facets of the customer journey, ensuring they receive outstanding value and performance from their technology investments. Bierweiler was previously Senior Vice President and General Manager of Public Sector at Riverbed where he led the cross-functional organization responsible for Riverbed’s largest global vertical. He joined Riverbed in October 2020.

Bierweiler has over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology industry, with a strong background in cloud computing, data, applications, and infrastructure solutions. Prior to joining Riverbed, Bierweiler served as President of Cloudera Government Solutions where he led the organization through its merger with Hortonworks and closely partnered with clients to address ‘big data’ challenges through optimized data access, enrichment, and empowerment with an enterprise data cloud. Prior to Cloudera, Bierweiler was President of Hortonworks Federal Inc. There he built and scaled the organization’s public sector channel program and partner ecosystem. Earlier in his career, Bierweiler held leadership positions at Red Hat and Raytheon, spanning roles across engineering, program management, business development, and corporate strategy.

Bierweiler holds an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland and B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida.

Manny Blackner

Manny Blackner is Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Riverbed Technology. Blackner’s responsibilities include all worldwide HR and operations for employees in 28 countries, including recruiting, human resources business partner activities, diversity and inclusion, benefits and compensation, immigration, HR systems/shared services and learning development.

Blackner joined Riverbed in 2013, and previously led the Riverbed HR business partner, HRIS, HROPS and talent acquisition teams globally. He has a proven track record for attracting and retaining top talent, nurturing employees, championing career development and has a passion for diversity and inclusion. Prior to Riverbed, Blackner worked in retail sector supporting several national brands.

Blackner is a graduate of University of Maryland, College Park and also currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Arnold Foundation, a non-profit focused on making the world a better place by providing or improving education, economic, energy and health conditions for those in need.

Rebecca Hazard

General Counsel

Rebecca Hazard is General Counsel of Riverbed Technology as well as Corporate Secretary to the Riverbed Board of Directors. Hazard is responsible for all legal matters as well as trade compliance.

Previously, she served as Riverbed’s Vice President and Associate General Counsel, managing a global team of lawyers and legal professionals, responsible for commercial and technology transactions worldwide, including inbound and outbound licensing, channel sales agreements, privacy, outsourcing, OEM and intellectual property matters. In private practice, Hazard was an attorney at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP in the Technology & IP Transactions practice group where she focused on the acquisition, financing and sale of intellectual property and technology-focused businesses, including public and private acquisition and sale and licensing transactions.

Hazard holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College (cum laude) and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Fernando

Fernando Castanheira

Global Chief Information Officer

Fernando Castanheira is Riverbed’s Global CIO responsible for all aspects of IT including digital transformation, Cyber/IT security, infrastructure, operations and business platforms. In addition, Fernando leads the SaaS Business strategy function partnering with the customer facing teams on new approaches centered on providing ongoing customer value and delightful experiences.

 Prior to joining Riverbed, Fernando worked at JPMorgan Chase in various senior IT roles, most recently as a Managing Director and CTO.  Fernando led various IT infrastructure and business aligned Application Development organizations with high impact roles at large scale with focus on digital transformations, increasing efficiencies, improve productivity and security. Fernando has built and led large organizations with specific focus in Digital Workplace technologies, End User Services, Multimedia/Telecom, and Corporate Technology functions.

Early in his career, Fernando held engineering and application development roles at Deloitte & Touche and Teledyne Brown Engineering.

 Fernando holds a B.S in Computer Science from NJCU and a Master’s degree in Technology Management from Stevens Institute of Technology (magna cum laude).

RichardTworek

Richard Tworek

Richard Tworek is a Chief Technology Officer of Riverbed Technology where he leads the product management, engineering, and data science teams in building and enhancing the Alluvio unified observability portfolio. His position includes developing and delivering the Alluvio Unified Observability Platform and next-generation services such as SaaS-delivered Alluvio IQ, and industry-leading end-user experience, application, network and infrastructure monitoring solutions. He also leads strategic technology relationships, leading innovation to create and bring to market new products leveraging Riverbed’s robust and unique sensor technology.

Tworek is an experienced technologist in rapid product innovation, realignment and delivery including developing and bringing to market new product offerings, technology vision, and strategic relationships for ML/AI. He has enabled strategic go-to-market and technology partnerships such as Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, Slack, and Amazon (AWS) Cloud platforms, and has a successful record of transforming and innovating in large complex organizations with the delivery of highly successful software and collaboration products.

Prior to joining Riverbed in 2022, Tworek held various executive leadership roles running within the technology and communication sectors, most recently at Mitel where he served as CTO and VP of Mitel Innovation Labs and Advanced Technology and then General Manager and VP of Next Generation Unified Networks at Nortel Networks. He also has served as a Founder and CEO of a number of technology start-ups including Qovia, Inc., which was sold to Cisco; ZebraPass, which was sold to Softcoin; and Merex that was sold to Infodata, Inc., after which he then joined Infodata as EVP and CTO. Tworek began his professional career as a U.S. Navy officer serving as a Lieutenant Commander on a U.S. nuclear submarine.

Tworek holds an MS in Nuclear Engineering from the Naval Nuclear Power school and a B.S. of Mathematics and Physics from Eastern Michigan University.

SeanMansubi

Sean Mansubi

SVP & General Manager, Acceleration
Riverbed Technology

Sean Mansubi is Senior Vice President and General Manager, Acceleration at Riverbed Technology. Mansubi leads the product management and engineering for the Acceleration portfolio, including the market leading SteelHead product line. Mansubi also leads all shared services across the Acceleration and Alluvio portfolios.

With over 30 years of industry experience, Mansubi has held various executive leadership roles where he focused on business and product innovation. Prior to the promotion to his current role, Mansubi was Senior Vice President of global engineering where he led the organization accountable for architecture, design and development of Riverbed enterprise solutions. Previously he was Vice President of Engineering for Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s (HPE’s) Software Defined and Cloud Group, where he led the organization accountable for the HPE Synergy/Composability solution that became the fastest new product to reach a billion dollars of revenue.

Mansubi led a variety of organizations delivering many innovative, and successful products for HPE’s mission critical business including hyperconverged systems, HP OneView, NonStop Systems, and the HP-UX Operating Environments.

Mansubi holds a bachelor and masters degrees in electrical engineering from San Jose State University, California and received his executive MBA from Harvard Business School.
