Riverbed has signed and closed an agreement to sell the Riverbed Xirrus product line to Cambium Networks, a leading global provider of wireless networking solutions headquartered outside Chicago and with R&D centers in the U.S., U.K. and India.

Today’s news reflects Riverbed’s strategy to focus and invest on our core Digital Experience Management and Digital Networking solutions, which provide the greatest opportunities for growth. Our recently announced relationship with Versa Networks further illustrates that strategy, as it strengthens our enterprise SD-WAN offerings and is already opening vast opportunities for you to take SD-WAN market share. The same holds true for the new SaaS Accelerator solution, as our customers turn to new application acceleration consumption models.

Partners selling Riverbed Xirrus will have a new Cambium Networks sales representative and should contact the Cambium sales desk for Xirrus Wi-Fi at [email protected] for details.

Both Riverbed and Cambium Networks have agreed to a six-month transition period in order to port Xirrus operations from Riverbed to allow for a smooth transfer of operations during which order booking and customer support responsibilities will be handled jointly by Riverbed and Cambium. All existing customer support contracts are valid and will be honored.

Marketing collateral including Xirrus will be changed as soon as reasonably practical and Riverbed Xirrus web pages will cross-link to the Cambium website. The Riverbed corporate presentation on Partner Center will be updated to exclude Xirrus Wi-Fi.
