Riverbed Expands SD-WAN Presence with Strategic Versa Networks OEM Agreement

We have signed a global original equipment manufacturing (OEM) agreement with Versa Networks, combining Riverbed’s world-class expertise, global support and services, and leadership in digital performance with Versa Networks’ innovative enterprise-class secure SD-WAN technology.

Riverbed has been targeting the SD-WAN market aggressively, and we’ve experienced success in the mid-market segment and with cloud-first organizations. This OEM agreement with Versa expands Riverbed’s digital performance portfolio with Versa Network’s Secure Cloud IP software platform, a next-generation WAN solution that delivers integrated routing, SD-WAN & security services via an extensible NFV services platform.

For our partners, this OEM agreement also opens the door to a much larger total addressable market plus enhanced revenue opportunities from managed, professional and embedded services and solutions. Our broadened portfolio provides partners the opportunity to compete and win in the enterprise market. In addition, this enterprise grade SD-WAN solution provides an additional revenue stream when positioned to your installed base customers already familiar with Riverbed. The expanded portfolio enables us to more fully go after this large installed base, which includes the vast majority of the Fortune 2000, and empowers our mutual customers to choose the best SD-WAN solution to help them transform their networks, gain agility and thrive in their respective industries.
